This tale is steeped in the lore of the Celts. When a despotic queen from the realm of Temra invades the tranquil land of Kells, King Conchobar is compelled to turn to an ancient legend that portends the arrival of an orphan who shall discover the formidable warrior, Draganta, and "ensure peace for Kells across a span of a thousand generations." The legend also speaks of the Four Mystic Armors and the Pyre, the fiery dragon. The chosen bearers of these armaments are Angus, a scoundrel of sorts; Ivar, a prince of Moorish descent; Deirdre, the Princess of Kells; and Rohan, a destiny-bound apprentice to a druid, and the young man foretold in the prophecy. They are joined by Aideen, a youthful fairy; Fin Varra, the monarch of Tir Na Nog; and Garrett, who will ultimately become the fifth Mystic Knight. United, these five Mystic Knights tirelessly defend Kells against the Queen Maeve and her malevolent sorcery.
