Rebecca finds herself in a state of introspection following Woody and Kelly's wedding celebration. With a newfound resolve, she commits to transforming her life. Her emblem of this transformation is the act of extinguishing the cigarette she is smoking, marking it as the final cigarette she will ever consume. With this symbolic gesture, she discards the cigarette-filled ashtray into the wastebasket in the bar's office. The following day, Sam, summoned by the fire department, arrives at the bar, which has suffered half of its structure to be charred. Overwhelmed with emotion, Sam is desperate to believe that this calamity is merely another prank orchestrated by Gary, but the stark reality of the situation begins to take hold. Upon recognizing that his insurance policy will cover the damages, Sam shifts his focus to the rebuilding of the bar, yet he remains puzzled by the fire's origins.

The fire marshal informs Rebecca that the cause of the blaze was a smoldering cigarette that had been discarded into the wastebasket in the office. Rebecca acknowledges that she has once again been the catalyst for this significant mishap. Meanwhile, others who have been deeply affected by the fire include Norm, whose makeshift "home" within the bar has been severely damaged...
