简介：This narrative is a reenactment of the actual tale of Major Herbert Rowse Armstrong, a solicitor and clerk to a magistrate, who resided in the quaint Welsh town of Hay-on-Wye. In 1921, he faced arrest and was accused of poisoning his domineering wife, Catherine, and subsequently, of attempting to poison his business adversary, Oswald Martin, by administering arsenic to them. During his trial, Armstrong maintained that his sole purpose in purchasing the arsenic was to eradicate dandelions from his lawn. Nonetheless, he was found guilty of murder and was executed in 1922.
