An exclusively female detective team, known as the "Eyes Enquiry Agency," has been established as a clandestine facade for the Home Office's latest security initiative, the Covert Activities Thames Section, abbreviated as CATS. The group was initially helmed by the esteemed former President of the Oxford Union, Pru Standfast, succeeded by the seasoned ex-police officer, Maggie Forbes, who eventually took the reins of the division. The ranks were further bolstered by the computer prodigy Frederica "Fred" Smith and, later, Tessa Robinson. Their liaison with the Ministry was facilitated by Nigel Beaumont. The team was tasked with addressing a spectrum of criminal activities, ranging from theft and blackmail to espionage and terrorism.
