This esteemed series presents adaptations drawn from the prolific literary works of Ruth Rendell, a collection that encompasses her vast array of short stories. A select few episodes, however, are grounded in Rendell's full-length novels, such as "Going Wrong," which boasts the talents of James Callis, and "Front Seat," featuring Janet Suzman. The series boasts a total of 48 episodes that revolve around the tales of Detective Inspector Wexford, brought to life by George Baker and Christopher Ravenscroft, while an additional 29 episodes stand apart from this central figure.
