Gordon Brittas serves as the manager of the Whitbury-Newtown Leisure Centre. Despite his fervent ambition and well-intentioned endeavors, it appears that misfortune seems to shadow him wherever he goes. As Brittas busily concocts novel methods to complicate the lives of his staff, his assistant, Laura, labors tirelessly to maintain the smooth operation of the Leisure Centre. Meanwhile, Helen Brittas battles to preserve her mental equilibrium amidst the challenges of managing her husband's often trying behavior.
