The movie "Inspirited by the Movie of the Same Name" chronicles the existence of Duncan Macleod, a fellow clansman to Connor Macleod, the protagonist from the film. An immortal in his own right, Duncan has traversed the centuries for four hundred years. The narrative unfolds as he endeavors to lead an unassuming life alongside his French girlfriend, Tessa. Duncan extends a protective wing to a streetwise youth named Richie, entrusting him with his most profound secret: his immortality and the fact that he can only be terminated through decapitation. Should this be the case, the power that once belonged to him is then transferred to the person who executes the act, thereby ensuring the perpetual pursuit of immortals by other immortals who seek to claim their heads.

In the second season, Duncan uncovers the existence of a clandestine society dedicated to chronicling the actions of immortals. It is within this organization that Joe Dawson is assigned to monitor Duncan. There is a faction within the society that regards immortals as detestable creatures and believes they must be eradicated, an objective they attempted to realize. Amidst this turmoil, Tessa and Richie meet their tragic ends, yet Richie subsequently learns of his own immortality—a revelation that ties him back to Duncan, the man who first sheltered and confided in him.

Throughout his adventures, Duncan frequently encounters Amanda, an immortal and a thief, to whom he extends a hand of reform. While occasional successes are achieved, the journey is fraught with challenges. He also crosses paths with Methos, purportedly the oldest immortal, adding a layer of intrigue to his life.

Each season's narrative begins in North America and transitions to Europe, predominantly in France, for the latter half, weaving a rich tapestry of locales that contribute to the story's immersive quality.
