Sarn's prophecy heralds the arrival of an outsider who will come to the aid of the people. This role is one that the Master eagerly embraces, ultimately presenting Timanov, the Sarn religious leader, with the unrestricted support he has sought in his quest to purge the faithless from within his community. Yet, Turlough's hidden past is inextricably entangled in this web, and the reluctance to reveal it poses a significant threat to all amicable relations with the Doctor.
