Doogie is far from an ordinary adolescent; he is a practicing doctor. Possessing an intellect that is truly exceptional, he has been in the medical profession since the tender age of fourteen. However, merely being highly intelligent does not exempt one from experiencing the same emotional spectrum as others. He is perpetually at odds with balancing a vibrant, youthful lifestyle with his buddy Vinny, and the more solemn, introspective life of a medical practitioner.
