Sgt. T.J. Hooker stands as a seasoned policeman, his aversion to the criminal underworld running deep. He has repeatedly turned down numerous promotional opportunities, driven by an unwavering desire to patrol the "streets" and confront crime firsthand, rather than squandering his talents and fervor on administrative duties behind a desk. In a squad car, he navigates the city's thoroughfares alongside his headstrong, inexperienced partner, Vince Romano. When he's not patrolling his assigned area, Hooker can often be seen imparting wisdom to new recruits at the police academy. The alluring Stacy Sheridan, a fellow rookie cop and the daughter of Hooker's commanding officer, also shares his path. Jim Corrigan, another seasoned officer, serves as Stacy's partner, joining them in their efforts to uphold the law.
