When her supervisor, Jack Walters, begins to scrutinize the company for irregularities, he calls upon Joanne to delve deeper into the matter. Initially, the suspect she confronted implicated Profit as the orchestrator. But upon learning of this, Profit managed to persuade the individual to alter their testimony to Joanne. Nevertheless, Joanne is resolute in her belief that Profit is a malefactor and she is determined to gather irrefutable evidence against him. Simultaneously, Profit is on a relentless quest to eliminate any threat—Joanne included—that could potentially unveil his malevolent deeds.
