Upon entering the bar's office, Robin's gaze is immediately drawn to Rebecca, whose attire is somewhat disheveled. A button from Sam's shirt is visibly trapped in the zipper of her blouse. Rebecca informs Robin of an incident that almost transpired with Sam, yet she hastens to clarify that no such occurrence actually took place. This revelation, however, is a fabrication, one that Sam is willing to perpetuate. Robin's reappearance triggers Rebecca's decision to accompany him, vowing to stand by him through the challenging period of his impending indictment. She intends to remain at the bar, laboring diligently until she secures a more favorable employment opportunity.

Sam, for his part, returns to the task of restoring the bar to its former splendor. In an expression of his appreciation for the loyalty of his patrons, Sam opts to settle all outstanding bar tabs, including those of Norm. Yet, in the wake of Sam and Rebecca's intimate encounter, they mutually agree to let it remain in the past. Rebecca, however, cannot help but confess that the experience was among the most profound of her life. Despite his assertion of enjoying the evening, Sam, on the other hand, candidly acknowledges that his expectations, shaped by three years of anticipation, may have been overly ambitious in light of the reality of the encounter.
